After a 2 year absence from the stage due to the COVID pandemic, IGHCT mounted its third production – Jonathan Larson's award-winning musical "RENT." Directed by Quinn Forrest Masterson with the able assistance of Vocal Director Madeline Huss and Choreographer Jennifer Haider, the show broke all of our attendance records and set a new high bar for production quality. Quinn's program notes included the following: "Jonathan Larson's transgressive RENT means so many things to so many people – and I am forever grateful for IGHCT’s leadership team and their willingness to accept my request to take on the challenge of this show and give it a space to be put on (other than the occasional professional tour that comes to town at the Orpheum)... This was a true collaboration and the entire production team of artists and designers poured their hearts into making this possible. I am especially proud of this incredible cast for saying "yes" and approaching this production from their own diverse experiences. They were challenged to stray from imitating what has been done, make new discoveries, and most importantly, bring their own truths to the story: 'To being an us for once, instead of a them.' "

IGHCT's "RENT" was awarded Best Music Direction & Orchestra Performance by Broadway World, and also received wonderful local Reviews.
